Bird watch

We found out that penguins lived in a cold country and that although they were a bird, they couldn’t fly. We decided that we would find out which birds lived in Burscough. We have designed our own binoculars and started to follow our design, finding out whether it works or not. Next week we will be counting the birds that we see, identifying them and making a graph of the most common bird that visits our playground.

In phonics we are working on the letters ‘j’ ‘v’ and’w’

Gingerbread Man

This week has all been about the Gingerbread Man. We have acted the story out, counted gingerbread men, sequenced the story, made gingerbread men in the malleable area and then made our own real Gingerbread Man. We then made sure the gingerbread man couldn’t run away by eating him, just like the fox in the story.

In phonics we have looked at s,a,t,p,i,n,m,d,g.
